Help on finding kinetic energy??

A skateboard is standing on top of a 4 meter half-pipe and is ready to jump onto the half-pipe. What is the skateboarder's Kinetic Energy?

Respuesta :

Trick question? In order to have kinetic energy, an object must be moving. Therefore, in this case, kinetic energy would be 0. If it were asking about potential energy, it would be a different story.
The equation for finding KE is :
KE=m•v^2/2
M=mass
V=velocity
