Subtracting 2l in both sides

[tex] P - 2l = 2w [/tex]

Divide 2 in both sides

[tex] \frac{P-2l}{2}=\frac{2w}{2} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{P-2l}{2} = w [/tex]

[tex] w =\frac{P}{2} - l [/tex]
