Some hikers made the round trip on a mountain trail in 10 hours. It took three times longer to hike down. How many hours did it take to hike up the trail?

It would take the hikers 30 hours to go down the mountain trail. It took 40 hours over all

It took them 2 and half hours up because of it took them 3 times as long to get down that would be 7 and half hours down. If you add it up 2.5+7.5=10
