One of the examples of the irony of The Odyssey is when a dramatic irony occurred when Odysseus returned home. When he returned home, he disguised himself as a beggar, and when he finally saw Penelope after 20 years, yet in the story Penelope doesn't recognize him even after she longed to see him.
