The battle of Chickamauga was the biggest battle that took place in Georgia. That took place through Septeember 18th and September 20th during the Civil War. It was generally accepted as the second bloodiest engagement of the war. This is because it had 3400 casualties. The only other battle that was just as deadly if not deadlier was the battle of Gettysburg in Pennsylvania, with 51,000 casualties, was deadlier.
