if T(n)= 3n-1 what is the third term

T(3)=3(3)-1
T(3)=9-1
T(3)=8
answer is 8

The 3rd term would be -1 because T(n) is one term and 3n is another term then -1 would be the last term....im not sure if im right but ill give it a shot... ^-^
