Big bang theory talks about the universe being formed from a small point
which contained a very high amount of energy. The point then exploded and
gave rise to the universe expanding and moving outwards to accommodate
the different components.
This gave rise to the formation and accommodation of the living and non
living components present which helps to explain how the universe was
formed.
