in free fall acceleration is given by

[tex]a = \frac{F_g}{m}[/tex]

[tex]a = \frac{mg}{m}[/tex]

[tex]a = g[/tex]

so for all cases of initial speed its acceleration is always equal to "g" and magnitude equal to 9.81 m/s^2
